Good grief - so much negativity! Frankly, I loved the show - start to finish. Granted, there were 'uncomfortable' episodes and same for some of the mini plotlines, but it was all part of the story as a whole. While some details remained sketchy even after the finale, I believed James Spader's Red WAS Liz' real father - despite not being present in her life as a dad, and that her mother was long gone. Whether she died, was imprisoned with no hope of seeing the light of day, or chose to disappear to save her own butt remains a mystery. (Though I confess, I wondered if the suitcase bones belonged to Liz' mother.) The relationship between Red and Liz' maternal grandfather left me with little question as to her parentage. And if that wasn't sufficient, Dembe's subtle - yet persistent - urgings for Red to reveal to her who he really is because "she deserves to know" AND Cooper's reference to Red as Agnes' grandparent in the final episode cleared it up for me. I laugh every time someone suggests Red was her mother: can you just imagine how many surgeries THAT would have entailed??! Let's take this tiny woman and surgically transform her into a behemoth of a man - right! 🤣 And let's not forget that Kaplan was in love with Katarina - not Red - despite her loyalty. Of course, we DO learn that her loyalty was really to Liz, which is why I would have bought a storyline where Liz did NOT die in Season 8, but that Kaplan either taught Liz the ins & outs of disappearing, or she wasn't dead either and actually helped her disappear. They (writers) COULD have brought her back with a different actress - having had surgery to change facial features (far more believable that Katarina morphing into Red), changing or settling on an acceptable resolution to her ridiculous hair dilemma (why they didn't accept Boone with a pixie is beyond me since she was cute enough with that 'do'), and creating a sufficient backstory to explain her whereabouts during her absence. Remember that remote island Red owned - where he provided safe refuge for Samar? Kaplan could have been similarly armed. That said, it didn't take long for me to accrue more than my share of 'Lizannoyance' but that's because my personal views on loyalty are more like Heddie's ride-or-die level of grit - and I confess, I was 100% charmed by Red from the very start.

We need him back ASAP as the show isn't the same without him

I hate that she left the show, or was written off it. She was a beloved character. I would have liked it if they just showed her get help with her problems, and improved them. And like that, would have stayed on. I would have liked that more.

She has a history of making these types of accusations. Just look up what she said about her x husband. It’s a shame she has no problem spewing these lies trying to destroy a persons career and life.

Im happy for Parker.... brings changve. Gibbs also transformed during those almost 20 seasons as character, why wouldnt Parker be able to do same. Gibbs started to be stale though, I guess writers and actor didnt have inspiration anymore.... not that one person should be all encompassing, all main characters are hybrid of perhaps 100 people at least (from real life) :D

Red took the DNA test and was confirmed parent. He also tells Liz he doesn't lie but may stretch the truth. He said No I am not your father. That means he is Liz's mother. Also in the scene where his frind says there's nothing to make me change my mind... Red leans over and whispers... I am Katerina. If you turn it up really loud you can hear it.

I don't miss Liz, she troubled the most to Reddington, I watched this because of Reddington and Dembe, I even didn't like Dembe after he left Reddingtion, Reddingtion life ended mainly because of Liz and Dembe.

Katarina's job was to literally to learn 'everything' about a target and get what she needed. She was a master of playing a part, and she knew Raymond better than her knew himself. And for me it's the little things, there have been many times when some of Reddingtons mannerisms were very feminine and jus some of his dialog with women seemed like it was too women chatting. Plus, they showed evidence that Katarina probably preferred to be with women.

After Season 8 ended with Elizabeth dying, it became a different show, the basic formula was still there, Identity a bad guy ir group to find and get, Red handling his own agenda,. The pllot formula changed from figuring out Reds connection to Liz to Red find out who had Liz killed. The dynamic between the team members got distracting and their personal life issues was major change that made the show change to a different show

No mention of Red Spending every episode tracking down who was behind Elizabeth being killed, leading to killing or having others killed and others tortured to get information. It was his obsession of season 9. Also left out making a bond with Agnes.

The Keens were the absolute worst part of this show. Tom was extremely superficial and unnecessary. Elizabeth didn't have more than one face most of the times and was incapable of taking one right decision. But I don't blame them specifically. Sadly it's just the way way they wrote both characters.

There's also the theory that red is the Avatar of katarina like how liz used an avatar to speak through her to other people. It explains a lot and there are clues about brainwashing and implanting false memories changing faces throughout the show. Katarina said she created and reanimated red. What better way than handpicking an avatar ripe for brainwashing?
